Sun in Taurus

All Hail, the Sun is now in Taurus — Taurus is fixed earth, which means we are very much gifted with the tenacity and follow through to birth and create in the physical, all that we personally perceive value from. It is really the season of creating stability and long term structures that assist us in navigating and enjoying life.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet associated with love, money, relationships and harmony, and because of its elementally related to earth, there is a strong essence and correspondence with physicality and the self. As for being in our physicality is an integral part of this human experience — really feeling through all our perceptive senses, and feeling the density within our vessel which carries us through life. So, we are very much dealing with the senses — Touch, Taste, Smell, Sound, and Sight, and one would say that these senses are very much integral to our life experience. If we were to remove one of these senses, our quality of life would be diminished, and it would completely change the way in which we experience life.

Imagine food with out tasting, imagine music without hearing, imagine beauty without seeing, imagine not ever feeling touch, imagine not being able to smell your loved one. These aspects are highly important, and they strongly define to us through our own reactions and internal compass — what in fact we do and don’t like. Therefore, it is due to these senses and the way in which we align to them, as to how, why, what, when, we make our choices, and what we commit ourselves too. So you can really understand how one can construct a personal value system in congruence with what feels good on this sensory perception level, as it is very prominent in all facets of our life experience.

As we are working on the instinctual level, with beloved Taurus there is an aspect of refinement, and it is certainly quality of quantity. Taurus is the type of sign that will save up for something long term — really putting in the hard yards, so as they can buy the top of the line, and then never have to purchase the same thing ever again, and then therefore really sees the investments pay off in the long term. Luxurious goods, fine fabrics, delicate morsels for your taste buds, you name it, if it’s in the name of pleasure Taurus will not cease from indulging in all the earthly delights on offer.

There can always be a level of over indulgence, as sometimes we can find it hard to know when to stop, and to draw the line. Taurus energy can swing either way, from being scrupulously controlling and stubborn because they have a very powerful end game in sight, and will go above and beyond to achieve their intentions. Or, if they do open the floodgates to indulgence, sometimes it can be really hard to know when enough is enough, and to cease indulging.

Ultimately, it is the season we turn our attention to that of which we find integral to our lives, that of which enhances our lived experience. It is a time we shift our focus to creating the underlying structures and values for our personal life ambitions and experience. Taurus certainly goes beyond the superficialities, to core needs which resonate within the personal feelings matrix and core instinctive desires.

Our personal values certainly have a way of mirroring where our attention, awareness, and depths stand — where we really choose to spend and invest our time and energy, what we really wish to create for this one life we have. It is about creating our own standards for living in this day and age — where we can prioritise what matters for us at a core level — devoting ourselves to what feels good, right and assists us living an abundant life. For we are to be reminded that abundance isn’t just money, it’s an internal state. We may have been taught from a young age values from our parents, or the society we grew up in otherwise. But, Taurus is very much a personal sign and is here to teach us that ones personal values might greatly differ from another's, as everyone has varying tastes and life requirements as a result.

When we create our own stability and structures, we create our own living conditions, and in this we are very much creating our own compass. It is only through staying aligned to our personal guidance system, that we can create true abundance for ourselves in the process — because this is what is true to us on a visceral level. It is really about attuning ourselves to what heightens our senses, whilst developing our self worth to fully honour ourselves and our desires.
