All Hail, the Sun is now in the incredibly fast and mutable Air sign of Gemini — We welcome the season of smoke and mirrors, looks can certainly be deceiving as we enter into an unparalleled time of change!
This is the first sign in the zodiac in which we encounter polarity — the other. Gemini is archetypically associated with the symbol of the twins and therefore the concept of polarity is prevalent within this season's expression. However, polarity is woven throughout our realities within every single moment — it is inevitable that we will encounter opposing forces within this life experience, and within this reflective process, we are able to identify with our realities, as information is mirrored to us through these transpersonal associations and perceptory objects.
The sign of Gemini is quintessentially childlike — there is a lot of exuberance and playfulness within their outward expression. They are also known to be versatile, quick and witty, with a high level of entertainment paramount to their life experience. When a Gemini gets bored, there is the capacity for them to drop whatever is no longer exciting them, and to go off chasing greener pastures. These tendencies enforce an immensely strong desire for newness and insatiable learning — they are known for having their finger on the pulse of life so to speak.
This sign is associated with information exchange, sharing, communication, and therefore wishes to really understand the world around them in advanced and elevated ways — by constantly up levelling and acquiring new information that allows a constant state of growth. This movement in consciousness highlights the capacity to change ones mind, when one thought stream is disproven by new and relevant information. These thought streams may seem paradoxical at times, or come from extremely different vantage points but they will often have very poignant reasoning.
Just as the word polarity suggests — two contradictory aspects within a field of association, the display of polarity within this archetypes expression is also a key contributor to shadow side expression, which comes out to wreak havoc in certain moments. These moments are often displayed in moody, uncertain or off kilter encounters, as well as embodied in complete unprecedented change. Change is one thing that is absolute in this lifetime, that and death. We are always undergoing change, even if we may try and resist it as much as possible, we must come to terms with it and face it, it is a part of our evolution.
These more raw or intense expressions may seem out of character compared to the natives usual bubbly and engaging demeanour. Yet, intrinsically embedded within the notion of polarity, is a strong desire for diversity and contrast within this interchangeable and seeking air signs reality. Through this expression there is the ability to really be able to connect all the dots so to speak — to be able to perceive a bigger and more bridged reality, and to really experience all aspects of the whole, thus creating balance.
Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury, and therefore is associated with the mind, our ability to process information, and our intellectual orientation. As a result of this inherently cognitive, fast paced and changeable nature, there is a highly activated and curious demeanour that reacts readily to any sources of mental stimulation or movements within consciousness streams.
Mercury is not only known as the messenger of the Gods, but also known as the trickster of the zodiac. Mercury has an association with the trickster energy because of its ability to change, just as the metal Mercury does in very nuanced ways, reacting to any subtle energies or movements in heat in which it may encounter. Mercury works very subtly, yet is incredibly present within its relating sphere. It connects the lower world with the upper world, and reinforces the sentience and interconnectedness of all things within existence, therefore connecting All — the microcosm with the macrocosm. It teaches us through our experience of duality, and acceptance and trust of its omnipresent nature, we can become more unified.
Great wisdom oftentimes comes from the most unlikely of sources, or from unexpected/turbulent events that transpire within our lives. Times where we really have to traverse our depths, and embark on a search for the light, for a rebirth. When we move beyond what we think we know, or what we believe to see, we come closer to unity, and therefore closer to creation in its infinite expression.
Sometimes this journey is highly unpredictable — and this is the point, we are to never truly know what the future beholds. These outside forces are all to do with our own personal perception — one mans truth is going to be different to the others. However, if we are open to change the way in which we perceive, we can in fact endure and conquer any polarity that we may face in this lifetime.•♊️✨
