Saturn Stations Retrograde

Today, Mercury stations retrograde in the sign of the Water Bearer, Aquarius — conjunct Saturn, the Lord of Time and Karma. Mercury will be retracing its steps back through Aquarius, into the sign of Capricorn, and will finally be going direct again at 24 degrees Capricorn.

Mercury in Aquarius is ingenious. It is really about expanding our thinking, and the way in which our minds perceive information — catapulting us into completely new and uncharted territory. It is so far out and advanced, that we really have to look outside any pre-conditioned parameters. Mercury in Aquarius is so forward thinking and conceptual that we are really tapping into an advanced collective matrix, and comprehending alien intelligence/technology.

In the build up to this cosmic event, we may have had inklings of bold new plans in which we have been desiring to action, and as we are slowly leaving a very busy time of year, we are now more than likely, looking towards what we are in fact going to action for our year ahead, and how that sets us up in the best of ways possible.

Mercury, known as the lower (more human and personal) mind, is starting its retrograde cycle in an exact square to Uranus, which is known as the higher (collective, vast and cosmic) mind, which is provoking lightning bolt revelations to occur. These invigorating pulsations throughout the field of consciousness, may usher us in a completely new or different direction to what we may have thought — it will slay any preconceived notions within our minds, and therefore, it is a time really marked by the re-consideration of our journey and our plans ahead.

Saturn is funnily enough creating a timely block here, to make sure that all the appropriate preparations are taking shape — for Saturn knows time is usually what bears quality and profound change. We may have to question where we really need to apply ourselves, as we might have had a too zoomed out perspective of the direction — with not enough forethought on the finer and nuanced details. When we finally make the pass past Saturn, we will certainly recognise that a lot has in fact changed, and that this time has been our ally, and our most divine remedy.

Saturn is asking us to really re-construct and re-imagine our steps forward before we make the final pass of Saturn at a very fated New Moon in Pisces, at the start of March. This will give us the immense capacity to really implement the necessary transformations with integrity, intention and tact — so as it adjusts our lives and our minds, in a very potent and direct manner, permeating all the way through to a large-scale shift in collective consciousness.

Throughout this Retrograde cycle, Mercury will be transiting back through Capricorn, and making some strong conjunctions with Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld. We are certainly here to transform our minds — it is a continual and sometimes arduous process. But, Pluto here is to really help transmute any denser and archaic templates that are existing within our psyche, and the collective psyche, that trickle all the way through to our societal structures. For Pluto knows all too well that with every death, is the ultimate rebirth, and the old must fall and fade so we can experience life evolving itself.

We may have this death-like notion play out in a more metaphorical manner, or we may have this play out in a very physical form within our lives. And, as a result during this retrograde cycle, we might find ourselves feeling or experiencing some sort of loss or pain at this time — as the past slips further and further away from us, and we call in a new future form. This adjusting process will be very much amplified by Venus in Retrograde in Capricorn too, so all things relationship, business and money will be under the spotlight — so buckle down for this next segment of life, we are sure to have a lot in store.•🌀✨
