The celestial luminaries conjunction with illusive asteroid Black Moon Lilith is a deep and potent precursor for the subterranean, and potentially triggering themes that we will be dealing with over this next lunar cycle. As our depths, and the more taboo aspects that we grapple with in life are being illuminated.
Under the surface, in our internal matrix, great turbulence resides.

Black Moon Lilith is symbolic of the dark repressed feminine energy, that which we have shunned, and deeply denied. In Cancer she represents the safety, intuitive guidance and feelings in which we may have bypassed or ignored to please and appease societal constructs — choosing to play it “safe”, but in turn not creating an emotionally safe space for ourselves. At its core, it is what we deny, the repressed parts of our nature. That which we try and hide, or not pay attention to — but know is lurking there, just beyond the surface…
Lilith is incredibly autonomous, and does not do as she is told — rather, she does what she feels, oftentimes going against the status quo and what the patriarchy orders. She can be reckless in this pursuit, and at times does not realise her own troublesome nature. And, this is Lilith’s story, she was not perfect, and would not submit — she felt and she was angry, and was punished for this. The story of Lilith is about the ultimate betrayal — she said no to a man who would not take her as her equal — and as a result she was exiled and imprisoned.
Her story speaks of the divinity in rage and one's wrath. Because, it is what is real and authentic to the unjust circumstances one finds themselves in. And that acknowledgement and non-compliance with what is not right and just, as well as the assertion of the unjust nature of one's reality — shows integrity of being. It's choosing to fundamentally feel — it is about showing up, and saying no, it is about staying true to oneself.
It's choosing to act with integrity and navigate with care — to not take the selfish and compliant spiritual high road of “All is well” to maintain “my own” sense of peace. Because ultimately, there is no real peace in that As to keep another's peace over our own, is an even greater betrayal, and Lilith knows this far too well. It's the type of thing that eats at your soul over time, and screams at you to listen, to action, to nurture, to see. She guides us to connect with our instincts, our primordial essence and guidance system, and to navigate solely from that precious point.
When placed in Cancer, she is in the sign of the mother, the womb, the matriarchal inherited trauma, passed down through the blood of our ancestral lineage — directly relating to our familial tree. It's our brothers and our sisters — our soul family, as well as the divine feminine aspect within. It's the rejection of our needs, and the nurturing impulses in which we deny. It is about filling our own cup up, and filling others cups up too — creating balance within, as well as sharing symbiotic relationships.
It is giving, and caring, and ultimately wanting the best for all, but also recognising where we may not have been giving enough, or alternatively taking too much, so as a dynamic go awry. To become more aware, and therefore more responsive to our environments and its needs is the master key — that will unlock an entirely new reality. To exercise compassion, presence and understanding in all that we encounter — to de-armour ourselves, and to hold space, share, and simply just be — whilst fighting the good fight, and protecting All that is good, meaningful and nurtures one's soul.
Lilith is known to have some Scorpionic traits, and she takes on an expression of creative feminine life force energy when in Cancer. So sexuality, desire, trauma, fear, shame and rejection are all ways in which she can express within our reality. However, at her core she is a goddess, and she recognises her worth. She knows that she must speak not only for herself, but for all of those who are denied. She is the archetype for the OG Freedom Fighter, and she will not submit because she knows that by standing up, and facing one's fears of abandonment — is the only way others can live the life that they have incarnated here to live and explore.
At times these aspects can be hard to access, because they cut deep, and it is hard and confronting to bear witness to the uncomfortable parts of ourselves or go against the grain — and of course, we are so used and conditioned to deny. But, it is by shining a light on the unconscious places within, we have the capacity to turn them into our power — with the raw acknowledgment of the nature of our being, and what lies within.
During this potent Lunar event, Neptune stations retrograde. Signifying that the veils of illusion that we may have been upholding to keep us safe, could be lifted over this transit. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it allows for transformation and real revolution to occur. We are being called into clarity, and as we are ushered to let the dreams of the past wash away, we inspire a new page to be written in the history books, a page of newfound nurturance and acceptance for all people from all walks of life.•🪬✨
