Yesterday marked the start of our Mercury Retrograde period, which will last until the 19th of October. This will be the final Mercury Retrograde experienced this year — and, in the sign of Libra, we are to take a transpersonal vantage point, to fully receive and integrate the effects of this transit.

Life is not just about the self, it is about the Other too — for we would not exist without the other. Therefore, a huge part of life is about fostering symbiotic relationships that create a sense of ease and abundance — relationships where everyone receives and flourishes.

Libra is ruled by Venus, and has much notoriety surrounding qualities of beauty, aesthetic, and harmonious relating. These aspects can be seen as shallow to some, and oftentimes overarch Libras other honourable qualities of loyalty towards justice, integrity, and the attunement towards maintaining a balanced perspective.

This is the kind of perspective where one can acknowledge and understand both sides of the story without judgement or differential treatment. This unbiased state is projected until a clear discernment needs to be cast, and the scales are tipped beyond questionable doubt. Thus creating a sense of beauty, peace and equilibrium within our lives and within society.

We have seen a lot of division, and a lot of civil unrest over the past year or so, with the governmental bodies assuming much power over our lives, and the way in which society functions. In light of what we are collectively facing — these bodies are making decisions for us, about what our future looks like moving forwards.

Our freedom has been greatly impacted, and our usual civil liberties are continually being withheld. We feel a sense of constriction, and we feel a severe lack of autonomy. This profound change to life has effected many of our viewpoints, and how we personally desire our future to function. We are moving away from life as we have known it thus far, and it is clear — we are in fear of what our future holds.

These extreme, long lasting and confining conditions, have resulted in generating a seismic movement of collective fear around death. The obvious trauma response to the present and palpable fear has provoked some of us to become aggravated, turning towards domineering behaviour, or even lashing out in violence.

What has perpetuated from this unprecedented time, is a polarisation within the community and greater collective. Many are divided in how they feel, and how perceive what is going on worldwide.

It has put an undeniable stress on our personal relationships, to ourselves but also to our lovers, friends and family.

This has had its ripple effect all the way through from cultivating collective counter movements, and fracturing our inter-relational sphere.

The actions that one chooses to take moving forward — to cope and exist with our newfound societal constructs, are put under immense scrutiny by all who navigate within our world around us. As our choices not only effect us, but those around us too.

This Mercury retrograde is a calling back into harmony, and a calling back to equanimous relating — this period is about taking some time out, creating a balance in the mind, and bridging it with the heart and our outward expression. It is about redefining our relationship with others with differing opinions, and further cultivating harmonious relating with those we deeply cherish.

It is about understanding that there is always going to be an opposing force or truth, but loving the other for who they are, and what they believe in, in any case. This type of radical acceptance is what creates true balance — the acceptance of all expressions and the cultivation of diversity.

We are to come into union with the world, and with each other once again. We can no longer divide and conquer, that is the old way. And what is happening now, is the breakdown of the old paradigm — the patriarchy.

.

There is no right or wrong choice — we create our own realities, and that freedom of choice is what contributes to a balanced collective, whereby all are unconditionally loved and welcome for how they choose to present themselves.•⚖️✨
