Initiations Evoke Greater Leadership

Initiations are the way showers for greater leadership, and greater leadership is taking responsibility. Ultimately, it’s taking responsibility for what we are creating, and furthermore the world around us.
The ultimate responsibility and creation is parenthood — and this child rearing passage is of the utmost importance as they too, will be the carers of the world in which we inhabit one day.
If we live in a world devoid of culture that binds us in solidarity, ritual, and initiation, and we do not understand our place in the greater web, basically we are ill prepared to take on these responsibilities.
And we are therefore, ill prepared to show the way.
The problem is both systemic and generational. We live in generations of disconnection of core values around reciprocity.
When we participate in our responsibility, we are taught about sacrifice, devotion and selfless service. Which are all core aspects of parenthood, as you have to show up every single day, no matter the case.
If we are not taking the right responsibility, how can we educate others to do so?
Is it no wonder that we live in a world full of sick and traumatised people?
Is it no wonder people lack purpose and drive?
Is it no wonder that we are in this dire space globally?
People are sick because they are not participating in their spiritual work, they are not doing their assigned jobs, and therefore nothing is being properly looked after.
Resultingly, everything is falling to pieces before our eyes.
In indigenous culture, we all have our jobs, our totems, our systems of kinship, and therefore responsibility — it is deeply embedded in the ways of life.
When we see ourselves as seperate from these systems, like the western world fosters, that is when the connection to the lands deteriorate, our connection to spirit that guides us — becomes blocked, and we fall to an incredible space of dissonance.
From this space of dissonance is where the greater evils encroach into our realities, and instead of living symbiotically and harmoniously, we are thrust into a realm of spiritual chaos.
The chaos in which we see in this world, is in direct correlation to the spiritual chaos within, and even more so, seen within the subtle realms.
The more we come into a space of connection and right relation with the world around us — and the more we take responsibility, the more we will see our internal worlds shift within, and therefore, little bit by little bit, balance will be restored to the world in which we see without.
